As I am staying in Provo this summer, Boyd, Hayley and I have decided on a summer project: hitting up all 13 (once Oquirrh (sp?) Mountain opens) Utah temples. Hayley and I hit Provo on Saturday, and tonight we went with Boyd to Mount Timpanogas. We originally went to Provo, but we got there at seven, and the gentleman informed us that on Tuesdays they close at 5:30 for all but the Aaronic Priesthood, to get ready for the Draper opening. So Mt. Timp it was.
It was an interesting experience, to say the least. It was far less busy than the Provo temple, and there were probably only 8 of us at any one given time. However, there were a ton of ordinance workers, and apparently they bore easily, as they focused their attentions solely on following us around. The best parts were having one lady try to wrap my towel around me for me, while I tried to grab it out of her fists, and the second best part was when a woman apparently saw me naked. Yes. As in, she opened the curtain on my shower to see if Hayley could go in next, saw me, shut it again and exclaimed to Hayley that I wasn't quite finished. Awkward. Mt. Timp is beautiful on the outside, yet the baptismal font area is weird. They don't have a chapel to watch the baptisms from, but instead they have curved benches around the font for you to sit on. And it's carpeted instead of tiled. But, it was a fast in and out. And another one checked off the list.
