Pyramid Schemes and Cryptic Notes

I have this friend named Jeremy. We've known each other for a couple of months and have chemistry together. Last Monday as we were leaving class together he mentioned that this girl he knew wanted to get him involved in a pyramid scheme. It sounded so delightfully interesting that I knew I'd have to blog about it eventually. However, Jeremy's life has become even more interesting with a cryptic note, and I decided to blog about both.
Jeremy has this female friend that is somehow involved in a pyramid scheme. One afternoon they were casually hanging out when she decided to tell him about her "business proposal". To further persuade him, she somehow convinces him to get in her car and proceeds to drive him to Salt Lake to go to a meeting about it. She then told him to think about it over the weekend and to give her his answer on Monday. So he wisely called his dad who said straight out that Jeremy was not to get involved with this scheme. Jeremy agreed, and on Monday when the two met, she told him that he needed to pray about it. Are you kidding me? Only at BYU would a casual friend ask you to pray about a pyramid scheme that they want you to get in on.
So today after class he starts telling me about this girl in his ward. Apparently she wrote him a note and wrapped it around a candy bar. What did the note say? "I want you to ask me out". Are you serious? Not only that, but the note wasn't signed. Instead, it was some kind of sick "guess who I am" kind of game. Like, "our home states both start with the same letter", and "our last names start with the same letter". Then it ended with "I think you're cute, on this subject I can't be mute". You've. Got. To. Be. Kidding. Me.
I just can't think of a more desperate move. Some might call it bold. NO! It's not bold! She didn't even sign the note! And if she wanted to be bold she could have just asked him out instead of playing this twisted and ridiculous "guess who I am and ask me out" kind of game. Seriously.
