On a More Serious Note.

Today was a really hard day. It started out great. I actually left the apartment on time to make it to class so that I could get a seat, and I ended up getting a ride to school (although I don't believe the intentions were to get a date) and sitting in my favorite seat: Second row from the back, seat 7. Then I went to the library (Family History, of course!) and fbooked, took a quiz, checked my email... anyways. Then I went to work, and that's when it started to go down hill. There was a ton of mail. Oh well, right? Wrong. I couldn't come back to do it after my classes (from 2-7) because I wanted to go to FHE (and Lindsey said it had to be done by 6...). So I had to miss my 2 o'clock (O-Chem) which is the class that I need to go to the most. So I was stressed out as it was. Then my lab took forever, my buret was having major issues, none of my sig figs were being accepted by the computer, my feet were wet, I'd gotten a letter from the IRS saying that I'd claimed myself but that someone else had, too, and I was running late for FHE. There was probably some other stuff, too... anyways, it was just a bad day. And I wanted to cry.
So I met up with my roommate Becky to walk home and I'm telling her all of this and she mentions that sometimes when it rains, it pours. And it is so true. I've had such a good last couple of days, and all of a sudden, it started to pour.
Then I went to FHE and had a wonderful time, was in a much better mood, came home, and found the sweetest note left on my desk from Becky. What did it say? "3 Ne 14:25". "And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not, for it was founded upon a rock". Sometimes life gets really hard. Sometimes it's just a bunch of little things. Really, today was just a bunch of little things that seperately I can handle without a problem, but combined they wore me down. But I'm grateful that I have a sure foundation, and I know that after my trials, I will still be standing.
And that, is the good news.
