Humor U

I realized that I hadn't yet mentioned going to Humor U this weekend. I went with Marie, the baguette girl.
So we got an email from Ryan, my HT, inviting the FHE family to go and support a fellow family member. I like to laugh. And I like funny people. And I actually like to get out of the apartment on a Friday night so that I have something to talk about on Monday at work. We ended up meeting up with some of the guys in the family in line. If I may name drop, these two strapping young men were Erik Archibald and D. Spencer Salmon. Can I just mention that for some reason I think that these two are amazing? I think it was just because I was in such a strange and feisty mood when I first met them, one week ago. I saw them standing in line, but figured that they wouldn't remember me, so I decided to avoid what could have been a potentially awkward moment and pretend that I hadn't seen them. And so I continued to chat with Marie. And then, lo and behold, Erik and D. Spencer approached and stood with us! And they had remembered my name! 'Twas a shock indeed. But a pleasant one.
Then more family members came to join us. Ryan, Craig... some other guys? I don't really know. I do know, however, that I stood on the stairs waiting for them to let people into the auditorium. I was determined to get good seats! And we did. Marie-a and I ended up sitting with the fam (which was quite pleasant) and getting center front row balcony seats. And we had Jr. Mints, always a plus.
Some of my favorite moments were:
1. Jasper's wedding. His choice of colors being avocado green and transparent, Elvish words appearing on the ring if it were thrown in a fire, and sewing the wedding dress.
2. Excitement over snow, and a girl laying in an inch of snow to make a snow angel, just to realize that she was really seizing.
3. "Yes, I have the Priesthood!"
4. The black guy in general.
5. Raise the roof!
6. ADD kids.
7. Trying to get out of a ticket by playing with the cop.
8. The awkward tall guy's list of 25 things.
9. Toilet stalls and handicap people.
10. Fried chicken and purple drink.
11. False doctrine buzzer.

Basically, it was one of the most fun things that I have experienced in a long time. Maybe it's because I don't get out much. But I am of the belief that Humor U is definitely worth $3.
