Weird Things Happen Here

My library place of choice is the Family History Library. It's not crowded so you don't feel guilty for blogging and looking at Facebook while someone needs to finish a paper. It's filled with old people linking themselves to the dead. The machines are kind of loud, so it's not too silent yet makes you feel allowed to make a certain amount of noise yourself. Basically, it's a wondeful place. And interesting things tend to happen there. For instance...
One time the EMTs were down there with an old guy that had fainted. I understand that it's serious. I'm not laughing at that. I just realize that that doesn't happen in most other spots of the library. In fact, when I walked to the library and saw the EMT van, my first thought was that it had to do with someone in the FHL.
This old guy always talks to anyone that will listen about the names he's found that day.
Your nose randomly starts to bleed as you're stressing over midterms.
Couples tend to get lovey-dovey down there.
Videos have been filmed there.
Tons of missionaries fill the place on Mondays.
People eat without any worries as to crabby librarians.
And the elderly are always talking about their grandchildren out loud so that you can hear. You know exactly how many missionaries they have and where they're serving, and who's getting married to who. It's gossip central for the portal to the Spirit World.
