Prompt: Choose a form of exercise that you enjoy, a form you wouldn't normally choose because it calls attention to your body. How did your body feel during and after your exercise? Reflect on the blessing of being able to move.
I hate exercise. I'm not even kidding. The only thing I like about exercise is seeing my body improve and get stronger in different ways. But I hate it. It's sweaty, and time consuming, and monotonous.
I chose to go on a walk. A long walk. With some friends. We walked to Center Street and back. It was about 14 blocks, which equals 1.4 miles. That is legit. Well, it's legit to me. My body felt tired at first, like, "why are you making me move at 11pm?". But as I kept going it felt refreshed, awakened, revived. Afterward I sat on my couch and felt the many muscles in my legs and butt twitching. I felt alive.
Sometimes I think about how cursed I am to have this body. And then I think about how blessed I am to have it. I am so lucky to have a normally functioning body.
Welcome, Minnie!!
