Things that Brought me Joy Today

1. Showing Marie the Cat Massage video Lauren found.
2. Talking about Matt Smith with Hilary and Caroline at work, who both randomly know him.
3. Running into Rebecca on my way to class (she was always a barrel of laughs: "UP THE WINDOW!", leaving fake blood on the door jamb, barely helping Becky plunge the toilet while she wore gloves and tried not to vomit, etc) and her telling me that I was going to get a shout-out on her blog.
4. Going to Rebecca's blog to see said shout-out was titled "Please Reinstall the Filter" and wondering what it was that I had said during our 3 minute run in to make me get that kind of attention (totally unrelated title, actually).
5. Realizing that Heather is actually taking a pole dancing class in Salt Lake.
6. Megan told me my "trousers" looked good today.
7. I asked Marie to be my valentine and explained that it included me singing a Jessica remix of a current song while we both fell asleep in bed. Heather hovered in the doorway (not unusual) and, with a mortified look on her face, told us that I made her want to run away. I replied with, "do what you need to do, Heather." I'm getting quite good at telling her what I really think in a way that doesn't sound mean.

There are tender mercies. Today had quite a few of them.
