For once in our college career Marie and I embarked on finding an apartment together. And we have found one.
We've been researching places for about a month and a half now and nothing was really working. I wanted a house or condo, or at least a washer and dryer that wasn't coin operated. Marie wanted to keep the total cost of housing ourselves under $300 (with utilities). Somehow I stumbled onto this property management group that has shared contracts in houses for $250. And one of them is simply lovely. It's a loft. It has a backyard with trees and the yard one over had 4 deer in it today when we went to look at it. The ceilings are all angled and lovely. It's 6 people, 1 bathroom, 1 fridge, 3 bedrooms, 1 pantry, 1 dishwasher, 1 washer and 1 dryer. It's kind of weird because the washer and dishwasher hook up to the sink faucet. But it's wonderful. Marie described the outside as going into a forest or a tree house. I'm in love with it. And it has free internet and the utilities come out to $10-15. So our total cost for living there is under what we are paying just for rent right now. It is a bit farther away and I should be walking the walk to campus this week to figure out just how long it is. But I'm in love. Did I mention that it's near Gold's Gym? Maybe I'll get a membership, who knows.
If you want to see the pictures, you can go here.
Did I mention that we're free to paint?
Welcome, Minnie!!
