Temple Square Trip

Sunday night I was hanging out in my room enjoying visiting hours before work when I got a text message from David which read: "Hi, would you like to go on a date to temple square with me and Alisa and her man?". How could a girl say no to something like that, even when the boy asking you on a date feels like your little brother? So although I had to work, I called up Hilary and asked her to cover my short shift as well, which she agreed to.

It was raining pretty hard, but it was beautiful to go up to the temple even for a little bit. Yes, it was slightly awkward being with a new couple, and yes, it was the least romantic feelings kind of date that I have ever been on, but it was nice and fun. And yes, David proposed to me. And Alisa.
Sometimes I really love David, just as if he were Jacob. We even fight like I do with Jacob. And sometimes, I can't stand him, just like Jacob. It's nice knowing that I can find family to fill in the gaps that my living so far from my own family leaves in my life. David in exchange for Jacob. Boyd and Hayley in exchange for everyone. Rochelle is the sister that I never had. And Marie? Marie is my only real tie left to Oxnard. And the only person who really knows me. It's a wonderful life.
