I Don't Like Regrets

I don't like regrets. And because I don't like having regrets there is something I need to clear up.

At the CA Thanksgiving dinner previously mentioned we went around the table saying what we are thankful for. Most of my fellow friends/coworkers said that they were thankful for their jobs, those around the table, the university we all attend and the growing that we have done this summer. What did I say?

Air conditioning.

That's it. And I've regretted it for the last week since it first escaped my mouth.

So what am I really thankful for? Had I been in the mood to bear my soul to those who are most deserving to know it I would have said the following:

I am grateful for BYU. I am grateful for the awesome education I am getting for almost no money at all. I am grateful that because of my attending BYU I have had some amazing experiences, I have met amazing people, and I have grown spiritually, mentally, emotionally, educationally and in every other way possible.
I am grateful for this job that I have. For whatever reason I love being a CA and I love the awesome people that I have become great friends with from this job over the years. Had it not been for this job, I wouldn't have become good friends with Boyd, Hayley, Rochelle, Jillayne, Amanda, David, Hilary, MegP, MegN, Blake, Skyler, Erynn, Ariel and the rest of the 26 people I have worked with closely as a result of being a summer CA. I am grateful to have bosses like Jay and Bev.
I am grateful for the human body and the spirit that resides within each one.
I am grateful for all that I have learned and for the amount of growth I have done over the last three years.
I am grateful for men that hold and use their priesthood wisely.
I am grateful for modern medicine and for the hope that one day I will be a doctor.
I am grateful for having people in my life that love and accept me.
I am grateful for a certain girl named Marie who continuously puts up with living with me year after year.
I am grateful for indoor plumbing, electricity and heating/cooling systems.
I am grateful for the temple, the atonement, and the gospel in general.
I am grateful that I can understand the atonement more and more throughout my life.
I am grateful for being able to make people laugh.
I am grateful for Ben and Jerry's.
And I am grateful for being me.
