Okay, I Lied.

I'm dating Dave.

Oh my gosh. I have a boyfriend. I never thought that I'd be able to say that one aloud!

Tuesday while I was roving Dave and I were playing Phase 10. At one point I had to go clean up some soap, and I left him watching a basketball game in the lobby. 45 minutes later I came back and found him asleep. I woke him up, and we resumed our game. And then he started acting really weird. I kept asking him if he needed to go to sleep, but he said that he just needed to step outside for a minute. He came back and I was like, "Dave, what is wrong?". His response was that he felt like he was on drugs. That he had had a really strong urge to kiss me, and that he didn't want to be dating Lindsey. And then I froze. And to my relief, the rover phone went off and I had to go take care of some things.

I came back and we continued playing Phase 10. And then all the basketball coaches started coming in to watch the game, and before we knew it, I was the only girl in a room of 15 or 20 men. After our game was over, we went for a walk to the duck pond. Dave held my hand, and we decided that we were dating. And then he asked me if he could kiss me. I replied with, "Umm, I'm not quite ready for that. Give it a day or two". The truth was that I needed quite a bit of time to adjust to everything. The fact that a boy liked me, that I had a boyfriend, that someone was holding my hand. It's all very new to me. So I'm nervous, and scared, and awkward.

Then last night we were watching the end of Pride and Prejudice, and he put his arm around me, and we just cuddled on the couch for awhile. When the movie ended we continued to just sit there, until he was like, "I have to go to work now". And I was like, "you have another 8 minutes". A few minutes later:
D: Okay, I really have to go now.
J: But Dave...
D: Hmmm?
J: You haven't kissed me yet.

He froze for a minute, and started leaning in, and that's when I said "this is awkward!", and then he kissed me. And it wasn't good, but that's what practice is for. After two more kisses, I told him that we'd have to work on this one. And then we left.

I really like spending time with him. I like cuddling with him, and having him hold my hand. And I'm excited for more kisses, not gonna lie. :)
