Crying in Yoga

First, the end of Coral has come.  After having my laptop for a week I returned it for a different one.  I miss it terribly.  But apparently computers that run on a Chrome OS can't download programs, which I needed to do in order to take tests at school.  So I downgraded to a Windows HP.  It's slower, clunkier, and has a really awkward mouse pad thing.  And half the time I press the "u" it doesn't work.

Anyway, I've made a friend.  Her name is Emily and she's also in the accelerated nursing program and she also works with me.  Which is pretty great because it means we have lots to talk about and see each other quite a bit.  On Tuesday she invited me to the gym to take a yoga class.  I went.  It was fine.  I especially enjoyed the face/head massage that happened during the relaxation portion.  She invited me again on Thursday, and although I was sore, I went.

It was much more painful to do downward dog with my shoulders aching. I had to modify a lot.  The instructor made a funny joke about her long armpit hair.  I laughed.  I enjoyed the head massage again.  And at the end, during the relaxation period, the instructors tend to tell you a positive message.  This instructor said, "love your womanhood.  Realize that the Gods and Goddesses or whatever supreme being made you also made the beautiful earth, and like the rest of the beautiful creations, you are beautiful.  Your body is beautiful just the way it is.  Your belly, butt, thighs and breasts are perfect the way they are."

And there, in that dark room, I began to cry.  Because it was perfect.

I love this so much. You are doing so many cool things. Sounds like a legit yoga class, too.
