Marie and I have been on the same wavelength recently. We've been playing Sporcle games together, and a decent amount of times I will be typing in an answer (most likely something weird, like Mozambique) as Marie, who is watching a basketball game at the same time and not watching me, says the exact same answer.
Today at church we may have gotten out of hand. It was during a lovely Easter musical number that some guy was playing the oboe in. Marie started whispering to me that she's going to have all of her kids play lesser played instruments to give them a better chance at doing something with the instrument. I agreed and said my kids were going to play the triangle. Then we got into a mini argument about whether or not my kids would have to be percussionists and play lots of things (Marie's angle) or if they could simply play the triangle (mine). Then Marie started explaining that she wanted her kids to play the accordion, or maybe the bag pipes. I was like, "uh, not the bag pipes. Would you really want to listen to them practicing that thing?" At which point Marie said something along the lines of "what about your kid playing the triangle?"
Unplanned synchronicity:
Marie and I both pretended like our fingers were hitting a triangle and said "ding"
And then we looked away from each other and hid our very inappropriate laughter behind our hands to try to limit the loudness of our outbursts.
Welcome, Minnie!!

1. I love everything about this post.
2. We should all play when Marie gets back from CA.
3. NOT the bag pipes. Do you remember that day we were all playing volleyball? A man began to practice his bagpipes on the field, and I broke out into an Irish jig. Let's repeat that day:)
