I have really enjoyed taking selfies of myself and texting them to people. I don't know why. I think it's funny and awkward. So, characteristically me?
Another thing that is characteristically me? Making a fool of myself.
Let's say that maybe yesterday I went with some friends (Emily and Kyle) to check out a cool place. We wandered through the woods to stare at boulders because some people like to climb rocks (Emily and Kyle). After staring at boulders for a long time (and a spider that made a coned web around itself, a beehive and the weirdest millipede ever) we headed towards blue hole. It's a hole in the ground with a waterfall draining into it, creating a lovely, cold, blue hole to swim in. It's beautiful and awesome. And of course, I hobbled around on the rocks around the pool to get to the waterfall and in my excitement, while both Emily and Kyle were taking pictures, slipped on a rock and hit my elbow and side pretty hard. Everyone was stunned. No one said anything.
And it was just like that time my dress fell down at Blake Fisher's birthday party four years ago and exposed my breast. Luckily covered in a bra. But my breast, nonetheless.
In other news, I've started work at Target. This includes a back story.
May 13, 2014 was a Tuesday. It was the first day I woke up in my new Tennessean home. I went to Target. I was lonely and insecure and felt like crying the whole time. And then I went to the checkout lane and this slightly awkward and very mysterious boy was working the register. He didn't have an accent. He was the first person in Tennessee that I met without one. And he 100% set me at ease and right away I wanted to know everything about him and become his best friend. His name tag read "Micah". A few weeks later Emily and I were talking about Target and she mentioned that she always went to the same cashier, a boy who was very mysterious. Excitedly I yelled out, "MICAH?!?!" And so it was. Emily and I decided that we needed to get jobs at Target solely to become best friends with Micah.
On Thursday, our dreams became a reality as I made the first step in our plans to latch on to Micah. I worked the register behind him and towards the end of my shift he turned around and we introduced ourselves. The perfect beginning to a beautiful friendship.
Welcome, Minnie!!
